HubSpot Alternatives for Small Business, Priced

LiftUp cover image with the headline "HubSpot alternatives for small business, priced"

Five seats on HubSpot Sales Hub Professional cost $450 a month billed annually, plus a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee, and that’s the cheapest HubSpot plan that scores leads. The same five people on the promo Starter plan pay $35 a month, but get no scoring at all. That gap is why so many founders go looking for HubSpot alternatives for small business, and why most of the lists they find don’t help: they quote a “from $X per user” price and stop there.

This guide prices HubSpot and 10 alternatives for teams of 5, 10 and 20 users. It also shows which plan each one needs before it ranks your leads, and it ends with the cases where staying on HubSpot is the better call. Every price comes from the vendor’s own pricing page, checked on 11 October 2026.

We build LiftUp, which is one of the tools in the table, so read this as a vendor’s page and check the numbers yourself. We’ve marked where per-seat tools beat us, and there are a few.

Why a small business looks for HubSpot alternatives

HubSpot’s free CRM is a fair place to start. It covers up to 2 users with no card, and Sales Hub Starter lists at $20 a seat a month. On 11 October 2026, the Sales Hub pricing page showed Starter from $7 a seat with the $20 price struck through, so the entry bill looks tiny. The page doesn’t say how long that discount runs.

But the trouble starts one tier up. Lead scoring isn’t on Starter: the pricing page lists it on Professional (up to 5 scores) and Enterprise (up to 10). Professional is $90 a seat a month billed annually, or $100 billed monthly. On top of that, HubSpot’s product and services catalog makes a $1,500 onboarding fee compulsory. So a five-person team that wants its leads ranked pays $6,900 in year one.

Is a score worth that much? Our lead scoring model example builds a 0 to 100 template you can copy into almost any CRM, which helps you decide before you pay for the tier.

Two more costs catch small teams later. First, credits pay for HubSpot’s AI and data features and come in fixed bundles per tier; we’ve covered what credits mean for a 5-seat team in a separate post. Second, a second brand gets expensive fast, which we come back to below.

How we priced the table

Each figure is the monthly cost on annual billing, at list price in US dollars, before tax. For per-seat tools, that’s the seat price times the team size. For flat tools such as Bitrix24 and LiftUp, it’s the cheapest plan whose user cap fits the team. The last column says whether that plan includes lead scoring, according to the vendor’s own pricing or plan page. “Not listed” means we couldn’t find scoring on the pricing page, not that the product has none.

Monthly billing costs more almost everywhere. Zoho CRM Standard, for example, is $14 a seat billed annually and $20 billed monthly, so a 10-person team pays either $140 or $200 a month.

The cost table, checked 11 October 2026

Three more tools we checked sit above most of this table. Close Essentials is $35 a seat, so $175, $350 and $700 a month at 5, 10 and 20 users. Attio Plus is also $35 a seat but stops at 10 seats, which means a 20-person team needs Pro at $79 a seat, or $1,580 a month. Salesforce Starter Suite is $25 a user ($125, $250 and $500), and its pricing page doesn’t make clear which edition adds scoring.

What the numbers say

  • At 5 users, HubSpot’s promo Starter and Bigin Express are the cheapest paid plans at $35. LiftUp Starter comes next at $40.83 billed annually ($49 monthly), then Freshsales Growth at $45 and Bitrix24 Basic at $49. Among plans that also score leads, though, LiftUp and Zoho Standard ($70) are far below HubSpot Professional’s $450.
  • At 10 users, the per-seat entry plans win. HubSpot’s promo and Bigin cost $70, Freshsales Growth $90, Bitrix24 $99 and OnePageCRM $99.50, while LiftUp has to move up to Growth at $124.17. That’s our weakest band, and we’d rather say so. If you need scoring, however, our $124.17 sits below Zoho Standard ($140) and Freshsales Pro ($390).
  • At 20 users, flat pricing pulls ahead. Bitrix24 Standard is $99 for up to 50 users, which undercuts our $124.17 for Growth. With scoring included, Zoho Standard is $280, Freshsales Pro $780, Pipedrive Premium $1,180 and HubSpot Professional $1,800 plus onboarding.

Monthly cost of a 20-user team on CRM plans that include lead scoring: HubSpot Professional $1,800, Pipedrive Premium $1,180, Freshsales Pro $780, Zoho CRM Standard $280 and LiftUp Growth $124.17
Annual billing, list prices, checked 11 October 2026. HubSpot Professional also has a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee.

What lead scoring costs on each HubSpot alternative

The cheap entry price is rarely the plan you end up on. Here is where scoring appears on each vendor’s own pages:

  • HubSpot: Sales Hub Professional, $90 a seat billed annually, plus the $1,500 onboarding fee. Its knowledge base says Marketing Hub Professional includes scoring too.
  • Zoho CRM: Standard, at $14 a seat. Zoho’s edition comparison lists scoring rules on every paid edition, with 10 scoring fields per module on Standard and more on the higher ones. The free edition, however, has none.
  • Pipedrive: custom scoring is on Premium ($59 a seat) and Ultimate ($79), according to Pipedrive’s plan feature list. Lite ($14) and Growth ($39), by contrast, don’t include it.
  • Freshsales: contact scoring comes with Pro ($39) and Enterprise ($59), but not Growth ($9).
  • Bigin, OnePageCRM, Bitrix24, Close and Attio: scoring isn’t listed on their pricing pages, so ask about it during the trial before you assume it’s there.
  • LiftUp: on Starter ($49 flat for 5 users), each new lead gets a 0 to 100 score and a reply deadline of 4, 12 or 24 hours by score band. Starter also adds a needs-attention queue. Our lead response SLA guide explains how those deadlines work.

One caution on depth. LiftUp’s score comes from six fixed parts (source, page, lead type, reCAPTCHA, content and company), and you can change their weights but not write new rules. By contrast, Zoho’s scoring rules and Pipedrive’s custom scoring let you set your own criteria.

Running several brands on one CRM

If you sell under two or more brand names, HubSpot’s answer is the Brands add-on. The catalog prices it at $1,000 a month, available only as an add-on to Marketing Hub Enterprise. Our post on HubSpot and multiple brands works out when that’s worth paying.

The cheaper routes look different. Zoho lets a super admin create up to 5 organizations under one account, and its comparison page shows multiple-organization support on all five editions, Free included. LiftUp scopes data by product instead: Starter covers 3 products and Growth 10. Each product keeps its own leads, forms and API key, while the team and the pipeline stages are shared across the workspace.

HubSpot alternatives for small business, one by one

Zoho CRM suits a team that wants scoring for the least money per seat and may later run several companies. It’s also free for 3 users. Its weak spot is monthly billing: Standard costs $20 a seat that way, 43% more than the annual price.

Pipedrive starts at $14 a seat on Lite, billed annually, as its pricing page shows. The catch is that scoring needs Premium at $59, more than four times the entry price, and web forms are a paid LeadBooster add-on below Premium.

Freshsales Growth costs $9 a seat, and there’s a 21-day trial. Contact scoring, though, waits on Pro at $39, which adds $30 to every seat.

Bigin by Zoho is the simplest and cheapest per seat at $7 on Express. However, its free plan is for a single user, and scoring isn’t listed on its pricing page.

OnePageCRM is $9.95 a seat on Professional, with a 21-day trial. Professional includes one pipeline, so a team selling two kinds of deals will likely need Business at $19.95.

Bitrix24 charges per account rather than per seat, much like LiftUp. Basic is $49 a month for 5 users and Standard $99 for 50, both billed annually ($69 and $144 monthly), per its price list. That makes it the cheapest tool here at 20 users.

When a small business should stay on HubSpot

Still, HubSpot alternatives for small business aren’t always the cheaper route. Stay put if one of these describes you:

  • You have 1 or 2 users, and the free CRM does the job. Nothing in this table beats free.
  • You use HubSpot’s marketing tools, its CMS or its built-in calling, so leaving would mean buying and wiring up several separate tools.
  • You’re a team of 6 to 10, you don’t need scoring yet, and you can get the $7 Starter price. At $70 a month for 10 seats, it’s hard to beat. Ask what renewal costs before you sign, because the page doesn’t say.
  • You’ve already paid the Professional onboarding fee, and your workflows run on it. In that case a move throws away setup work and adds a migration.
  • Your team depends on marketplace apps that the alternative doesn’t connect to.

Where LiftUp fits

LiftUp is priced per workspace, not per seat. Starter is $49 a month for 5 users, 3 products and 1,000 leads a month, while Growth is $149 for 20 users, 10 products and 10,000 leads. Because annual billing charges 10 months for 12, Starter works out at $40.83 a month and Growth at $124.17. New workspaces also get a 14-day Growth trial with no card. Our LiftUp vs HubSpot comparison sets the features side by side.

Flat pricing isn’t unique to us: Bitrix24 does it too, and costs less at 20 users. Where we differ is scoring and reply deadlines on the $49 plan, with each product’s leads kept apart.

Who LiftUp isn’t for: teams that sell by phone or text. LiftUp has no calling, SMS or WhatsApp, so a team that lives in a dialer is better served elsewhere. We’re also the wrong price for a 6 to 10-person team that doesn’t need scoring.

Picking by team size

Most HubSpot alternatives for small business charge by the seat, so team size decides more than any feature list does.

HubSpot alternatives for a small business by team size: 1 to 3 users start free, up to 5 users LiftUp Starter or Zoho Standard, 6 to 10 users per-seat entry plans, 11 to 20 users Bitrix24 Standard or LiftUp Growth, over 20 users Bitrix24 Standard
A shortlist by team size, using list prices checked 11 October 2026.
  • 1 to 3 users: start free on HubSpot (2 users) or Zoho (3 users), and only pay once you need scoring.
  • Up to 5 users who need scoring: compare LiftUp Starter with Zoho Standard.
  • 6 to 10 users, no scoring: HubSpot’s promo Starter, Bigin or Freshsales Growth will usually cost the least.
  • 11 to 20 users: per-seat entry plans stay cheapest up to about 14 seats, then Bitrix24 Standard’s flat $99 wins. With scoring, LiftUp Growth ($124.17) costs less than Zoho Standard ($154 to $280) across the band.
  • Over 20 users: look at Bitrix24 Standard on price, because LiftUp Growth stops at 20 users.

Frequently asked questions

What is a cheaper alternative to HubSpot for a small business?

On annual billing, Bigin Express ($7 a seat) and Freshsales Growth ($9) cost the least per seat, and Bitrix24 is $49 a month flat for 5 users. If you need lead scoring, Zoho CRM Standard at $14 a seat and LiftUp Starter at $49 flat are the cheapest we found. Prices were checked on 11 October 2026.

Is HubSpot really free?

HubSpot's free CRM covers up to 2 users with no card. Paid features start with Sales Hub Starter, listed at $20 a seat a month, which the pricing page showed discounted to $7 on 11 October 2026. The page doesn't say how long the discount lasts.

Which HubSpot plan includes lead scoring?

Lead scoring starts at Professional, on either Sales Hub or Marketing Hub. Sales Hub Professional is $90 a seat a month billed annually, or $100 monthly, and HubSpot requires a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee.

Is Zoho CRM cheaper than HubSpot?

Yes, at most team sizes once you need scoring. Zoho CRM Standard is $14 a seat billed annually and includes scoring rules, so 10 users pay $140 a month against $900 on HubSpot Sales Hub Professional. Zoho is also free for up to 3 users.

Why does HubSpot get so expensive for small teams?

The price climbs at the tier with the features growing teams want. For scoring, a seat goes from $20 list on Starter to $90 on Professional, plus onboarding, and running a second brand needs the $1,000-a-month Brands add-on on Marketing Hub Enterprise.

When should a small business stay on HubSpot?

Stay if the free CRM covers your 1 or 2 users, or if you use its CMS, calling and marketing tools together. A team of 6 to 10 that can get the $7 Starter price and doesn't need scoring will also find few cheaper options.

Can I move from HubSpot to another CRM without losing my leads?

Most CRMs import a CSV file of contacts, so plan the export and field mapping before you cancel. LiftUp imports up to 2,000 rows per CSV file and skips duplicates rather than overwriting them.
