Odoo vs Zoho CRM in Oman: Cost, Partners, Fit
Abidhusain Chidi10 min read

A 10-person sales team in Muscat on Zoho CRM Standard pays about OMR 646 for a year of licenses at the dollar list price. Ask the same question of Odoo and the honest answer is that it depends on where you open odoo.com from. When we checked on 11 October 2026, the page quoted us in rupees. That one detail shapes most of the odoo vs zoho crm decision for an Omani buyer, yet none of the top-ranking pages mention Oman.
This guide covers each product, a 12-month cost in rials for 5, 10 and 20 users, local partners, and Arabic, WhatsApp, VAT and hosting. Prices come from the vendors’ own pages, checked on 11 October 2026, and are converted at the Central Bank of Oman’s fixed peg of 2.6008 US dollars to the rial.
We build LiftUp, a CRM, so we sell neither Odoo nor Zoho. LiftUp comes up briefly near the end, including where it’s the wrong pick.
Odoo vs Zoho CRM: the short answer for Oman
Pick Zoho CRM if your sales team needs a pipeline now and you want a per-user bill you can read on the vendor’s page today. Pick Odoo if the CRM is really the first module of an ERP, so you also want accounting, stock or payroll in one database, with a partner to set it up. And for a big team that needs only a free CRM, Odoo’s one-app plan is the surprise.
What Odoo and Zoho CRM actually are
Zoho CRM is a sales product. It sits beside Zoho Books, Zoho People and the Zoho One bundle, but you can buy it alone and pay per user. The free edition covers up to 3 users. Above it sit Standard, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate. Zoho’s comparison page also lists a Starter edition, priced only in rupees for us, so it’s left out.
Odoo, by contrast, is an ERP built from apps, and CRM is one of them. Its pricing page shows three plans. One App Free gives you a single app with unlimited users and no license fee. Standard includes every app for one per-user price, while Custom adds multi-company, Odoo Studio, the external API and more hosting choices. There’s also the open-source Community edition, which you host and support yourself.
So the real question in any Odoo vs Zoho CRM shortlist is whether you want a CRM, or an ERP that starts with one. Our nine checks for CRM software in Oman help settle that first, so we won’t repeat them here.
Odoo vs Zoho CRM pricing in rials
Neither vendor prices in rials, though. Zoho’s currency menu lists AED and SAR but not OMR, while Odoo shows a currency based on your location. Everything below is therefore the US dollar list price, converted at the peg.
Zoho CRM at the peg
These are Zoho’s list prices per user a month, taken from the price file behind its CRM pricing page:
| Edition | Billed yearly (USD) | Billed yearly (OMR) | Billed monthly (USD) | Billed monthly (OMR) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free, up to 3 users | $0 | 0 | $0 | 0 |
| Standard | $14 | 5.38 | $20 | 7.69 |
| Professional | $23 | 8.84 | $35 | 13.46 |
| Enterprise | $40 | 15.38 | $50 | 19.22 |
| Ultimate | $52 | 19.99 | $65 | 24.99 |
Yearly billing saves 30% on Standard, so pay monthly only while you test. Zoho also keeps an older, lower price column in the same file, and we couldn’t tell which one an Omani visitor sees. Treat these figures as a ceiling and get your partner’s quote in writing.
Why Odoo’s Oman price isn’t on the page
From an Indian connection, odoo.com showed us rupees. Meanwhile, the third-party trackers that claim to list Odoo’s Middle East or Oman rates disagree by a wide margin, so we’d rather print no Odoo number than a wrong one.
Still, the pricing page states rules that matter more than the per-user rate:
- One App Free has no user cap. Choose CRM as your one app and the whole sales team uses it without a license fee, “forever”, in Odoo’s words.
- A second app ends the free plan. Install Invoicing or Inventory, for example, and you move to Standard, where every backend user is paid.
- Multi-company and Studio usually mean Custom. The upgrade FAQ says adding companies or installing Studio switches you to Custom automatically. Another answer there says the free plan allows multiple companies, so ask a partner which rule applies.
- The first-year rate is a discount. A footnote says it lasts 12 months and covers the users in your first order, so budget year two at the regular rate.
- Portal users don’t count. Customers and suppliers using the portal aren’t paying users, but staff with backend access are.
To get your real Odoo number, open odoo.com/pricing from an Omani connection, or ask a partner for a written quote with the per-user rate for years one and two.

A 12-month license model for 5, 10 and 20 users
Here’s a full year of Zoho CRM billed yearly at the peg: licenses only, with no setup fee, support contract or card charges.
| Team size | Standard | Professional | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 users | $840 (OMR 323) | $1,380 (OMR 531) | $2,400 (OMR 923) |
| 10 users | $1,680 (OMR 646) | $2,760 (OMR 1,061) | $4,800 (OMR 1,846) |
| 20 users | $3,360 (OMR 1,292) | $5,520 (OMR 2,122) | $9,600 (OMR 3,691) |
For Odoo, only half of that table can be filled in today. On One App Free with CRM alone, all three team sizes pay OMR 0 in license fees. On Standard, the yearly cost is users times your quoted monthly rate times 12, then the regular rate from month 13.
So “is Odoo cheaper than Zoho?” has no single answer. Once a second Odoo app goes in, the Odoo vs Zoho CRM sum turns on your quoted rate and how much of the ERP you’d really use.
Partners and implementation in Oman
License fees are often the smaller bill, because a partner’s setup fee plus a monthly support contract can cost more than a year of licenses.
Odoo’s Oman partner directory
Odoo’s partner directory for Oman listed 20 partners on 11 October 2026: 2 Gold, 9 Silver and 9 Ready. Each listing also shows an average project size, and these run from 3 users up to 48, while the largest project per partner ranges from about 10 users to about 500. So pick one whose usual project looks like yours.
Odoo’s FAQ adds that small companies can buy Success Packs from Odoo itself, whereas firms with more than 50 employees usually work with a partner. We found no published Odoo implementation price from any Omani partner, so get at least two quotes.
Zoho partners in Muscat
Zoho’s partner directory didn’t load for us, so we can’t give a count for Oman. One Muscat partner, Shyphan, publishes ranges in its Muscat implementation guide: OMR 4,000 to 10,000 to set up Books, CRM and People together, and support from OMR 200 a month for 8 hours. It gives no CRM-only price. Because it sells the services it prices, read those numbers as one firm’s ranges rather than a market rate.
Odoo vs Zoho CRM on Arabic, WhatsApp, VAT and hosting
On four questions that decide many Omani shortlists, this is what each vendor’s own pages confirm.
- Arabic. Zoho’s pricing FAQ lists Arabic among the 28 languages Zoho CRM supports. We didn’t find an Odoo page confirming its Arabic interface, so ask the partner to run your demo in Arabic.
- WhatsApp. Odoo has a WhatsApp app, which its documentation says works only with a WhatsApp Business Platform account set up through Meta. Zoho’s CRM edition comparison doesn’t list WhatsApp, so ask which edition or add-on you’d need.
- VAT. Odoo has an official Oman accounting localization with the Omani chart of accounts, 5% VAT, reverse charge and a VAT return report. On the Zoho side, accounting lives in Zoho Books, which has its own Oman page and VAT guide.
- E-invoicing. Oman’s Tax Authority is rolling out Fawtara e-invoicing in four phases, with SMEs in the third. Odoo’s Oman document doesn’t mention e-invoicing, so ask either partner how they’ll handle it.
- Hosting. Zoho advertises data centers in Saudi Arabia and runs UAE ones in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Odoo has offered hosting from Google’s Dammam region in Saudi Arabia. We found no Oman data center listed by either.
This is general information, not tax or legal advice, so check your VAT and e-invoicing duties with your accountant.
Lead scoring in Odoo and Zoho CRM
Both products score leads, but differently. Zoho CRM lets you build scoring rules from the Standard edition, and Enterprise adds several scoring rules per module. Odoo, on the other hand, uses predictive scoring: its documentation says it works out the probability of winning each lead automatically. Rules are easier to explain to a new sales team, whereas a probability is only as good as the deal history behind it.
Neither score tells anyone how fast to reply, though. Our guide to setting a lead response SLA by lead score shows one way to tie the two together.
When Odoo wins and when Zoho CRM wins
Odoo is the better fit when:
- You want accounting with the Oman VAT setup, stock, purchasing or payroll in the same database as your leads.
- A large team needs only a CRM, and the free one-app plan covers it.
Zoho CRM is the better fit when:
- The sales team needs a working pipeline within days, not after a long ERP project.
- You run several brands. Zoho allows up to 5 organizations per account on every edition, Free included, and our guide to a CRM for a group of companies in Oman sets that against Odoo’s multi-company database.
If you start on Zoho CRM and later move to Odoo, treat it as a data project and clean your records first. Our CRM data cleanup checklist lists the fixes to make before any import.
Where LiftUp fits, and where it doesn’t
LiftUp is a CRM only, priced flat per organization instead of per user. Billed yearly, like the Zoho figures above, Starter is $490 (about OMR 188) for up to 5 users, against OMR 323 on Zoho Standard. Growth is $1,490 a year (about OMR 573) for up to 20 users, which beats Zoho Standard at 10 users (OMR 646) and at 20 (OMR 1,292). The weak spot is 6 to 8 users. That team needs Growth, while 8 users on Zoho Standard cost OMR 517, so the per-user plan wins there. Our LiftUp vs Zoho comparison goes feature by feature.

What LiftUp puts at the center is reply speed. Every lead gets a 0 to 100 score from rules, and the score sets a reply deadline of 4, 12 or 24 hours. On Starter and Growth, a needs-attention queue also collects new leads unassigned after a day, contacted leads quiet for a week, and overdue tasks. A website form can send leads with one API call, which returns the score and deadline. Moving in from a spreadsheet is a CSV import of up to 2,000 rows, and every plan exports to CSV or Excel.
Who LiftUp isn’t for: teams that need an Arabic interface, WhatsApp, calling, accounting or VAT invoices. LiftUp has none of those, and it bills only in US dollars or Indian rupees. Our checkout doesn’t accept Omani bank cards today, so talk to us before a paid plan; the 14-day trial needs no card. Those teams are better served by Zoho CRM or Odoo with a local partner.
Next step
First, write down your team size, the apps you’d need beyond CRM, and whether the team works in Arabic. Then get Odoo’s Oman per-user rate in writing for years one and two, price your Zoho edition from the tables above, and set both next to a partner’s setup and support quote. If your main problem is leads waiting too long for a reply, book a 30-minute LiftUp demo and see the score and reply deadline work on a form like yours.
Frequently asked questions
Is Odoo cheaper than Zoho CRM in Oman?
For a team that only needs a CRM, Odoo's One App Free plan has no license fee for any number of users, which beats every paid Zoho edition. Once you install a second Odoo app, everyone with backend access becomes a paying user, and the comparison depends on the rate you're quoted from Oman. Zoho CRM Standard billed yearly is about OMR 5.38 per user a month at the peg.
Is Zoho CRM free?
Zoho CRM has a free edition for up to 3 users with the essentials. Bigger teams need a paid edition, starting with Standard at $14 per user a month billed yearly, about OMR 5.38 (checked 11 October 2026).
Can a whole sales team use Odoo CRM for free?
Yes, if CRM is the only app you install. Odoo's One App Free plan allows unlimited users on one app. Installing a second app moves you to the Standard plan. Odoo's upgrade FAQ says adding companies or Studio moves you to Custom, though another answer on the page says the free plan allows multiple companies, so confirm it with a partner.
Does Odoo support Oman VAT?
Odoo publishes an official Oman accounting localization with the Omani chart of accounts, 5% VAT, zero-rated and exempt supplies, reverse charge and a VAT return report. Its Oman document doesn't cover Fawtara e-invoicing, so ask your partner how they'll handle it. This is general information, not tax advice.
Do Odoo and Zoho CRM work in Arabic?
Zoho's pricing FAQ lists Arabic among the 28 languages Zoho CRM supports. We couldn't confirm Odoo's Arabic interface from an Odoo page, so ask the partner to give your demo in Arabic before you sign.
Do I need a partner to implement Odoo or Zoho in Oman?
Not always. Odoo sells Success Packs to small companies and says firms with over 50 employees usually use a partner. Zoho CRM can be started online with a free trial, and Muscat partners also sell setup and monthly support; one partner's published support plans start at OMR 200 a month.
Is my CRM data stored in Oman?
We found no Oman data center listed by either vendor. Zoho advertises Saudi data centers and runs UAE ones, and Odoo has offered hosting from Google's Dammam region in Saudi Arabia. Ask for the hosting location in writing.
